Situated on the southern bank of the River Thames next to the London Heliport, Falcon Wharf is a large residential and commercial high rise development. The traditional 18 storey concrete frame included many complicated features the most obvious being the buildings shape. other features within the building included spiral staircases, 5 storey high feature columns, acid etched stair flights, large cantileved slab edge to entire floor plan at 5th floor and continuous fin walls for the full height of the structure. Due to the location of the building (heliport, river, trunk road, public footways) the client required the construction process to have absolute control and containment. this as you can see from the photos this was acheived using a total edge protection system which provided an enclosed working environment over 3 floors cantilevered.
